Richard C. Ybarra

Richard C. Ybarra, Has over 35 years as a graphic designer/art director in San Diego’s advertising/design community. His work experience also extends into teaching, 21 years at The Art Institute California-San Diego, and 7 years at the University of California San Diego Extension.

Richard's creative talents are not only in graphic design and advertising. He has also exhibited his photographic and fine art work in galleries throughout San Diego County and California.

In addition to his talents in drawing and painting, photography is a highlight—his specialty. His award winning photographic work has educated him to understand himself through the versatile images he captures. To Richard, the camera works as his visual recorder of sight; as an audio recorder records sound. It is with his camera he seeks to express the sights of life and a creative journey to share and enjoy.
